Rag Stones has almost sold out!

I've got a small display at the Sanday Heritage Centre that talks a little bit about the history of the island's dykes and shares a couple of the stories from my book. I was very pleased when they got in touch to say they'd sold all of the copies that I'd left with them and so I went to find more, only to find that the box had only six copies left in it!

I never expected the book to be of interest beyond a very narrow niche, so I'm delighted that I'm going to be putting together a second print run so that the Heritage Centre can sell some more through the summer!

There are still a few copies available through the Sanday Community Shop and General Stores and there's a couple left at the Sanday Craft Hub, but The Orcadian Bookshop has a decent supply that should hopefully let some of the visitors pick one up on their way back through Kirkwall or order them through their website, where you can also pick up some of my Badger and Vole books.

I'm very proud of Rag Stones as a book of local stories and lore and it's a testament to a very dear friendship, so it means so much to me that it's resonated with so many of you as well.

I haven't stopped working on Barbara Fea's story - I'm going to visit Stronsay next week so you can expect a slightly overwhelmed write-up as I do my best to visit the locations that play such a major part in her tale.

In the meantime, I've started drawing a new Badger and Vole story, so I should be getting a kickstarter together for that fairly soon.

If you'd like a copy of Rag Stones, head to The Orcadian Bookshop.
